Ja, so kann es gehen. Da wendet man sich vertrauensvoll an einen Hacker, der ein schickes Multihack-Tool gegen Bares anbietet und der lockt einen dann gnadenlos in die Falle. So geschehen mit mehreren tausend Spielern von CS: GO.
Wie heisst es so schön: Lernen durch Schmerzen. So erging es mindestens 3.500 „Spielern“ des beliebten Shooterspaßes Counter Strike: Global Offensive und weitere werden mit Sicherheit noch folgen. Sie fielen alle auf ein Angebot herein, welches ein schickes Multihack-Tool für $10 USD und einen damit verbundenen Erfolg gegenüber den fairen Spielern offerierte. Allerdings hat der Urheber names AndroidL mit dem Tool genau das Gegenteil verfolgt. Er wollte die Cheater bloßstellen, weil ihm die ganze Cheatszene gewaltig gegen den Strich ging. Bei Reddit zeigt er sich erstaunlich offen und gibt auch zu, dass er sich über diesen Erfolg und die Reaktionen der Cheater köstlich amüsiert.
Das Multihack-Tool bestand aus drei Stufen. Die ersten beiden Stufen beinhalteten eine Funktion, die dem VAC nach einer bestimmten Zeit mittels Timer offenbarte, dass es sich um Cheats wie unendliche Munition oder Lebensenergie handelt und während des Spielens wurde der Spieler vom VAC-Ban überrascht. Die dritte Stufe war da wesentlich profaner und hielt überhaupt nicht hinterm Berg. Der Spieler startete CS: GO, dann das Tool und VAC wurde sofort auf die Funktion aufmerksam, ohne dass der Spieler mittels Hack überhaupt mal eine Partie zocken konnte. VAC reagierte sofort und der Instant-Ban war die Folge. Laut AndroidL hatten insgesamt über 26.000 User das Forum mit dem Tool besucht, über 5.500 Male wurde das Tool heruntergeladen und derzeit wurden schon knapp 3.500 User aufgrund der dritten Stufe gebannt und es dürften noch einige folgen. Weiter wurden noch andere Effekte eingebaut und ließen u.a. das Spiel nur noch mit einem um 45° Grad gekippten Bild spielen, was einen Flow natürlich nicht zu zulässt.
Den Urheber amüsiert es unheimlich, wenn er sich die Reaktionen der Cheater bei Reddit anschaut. Er hat schon Sammlungen der schönsten Posts und Hasstiraden gesammelt und da sind einige Higlights wie „Ich wurde nach nur 10 Minuten spielen mit dem Tool gebannt! Du schuldest mir $10 USD!“ und viele mehr enthalten, die ihr euch im Forum selbst anschauen könnt. AndroidL plant übrigens noch mehr solcher Aktionen und wird ebenfalls Bypässe erstellen, die einen Besuch in den einschlägigen Hackerforen unterbinden soll, um durch entsprechende Posts in den Foren nicht mehr vor neuen Aktionen gewarnt werden zu können. Also da hat es einer mal so richtig auf die Cheater abgesehen. Das sind natürlich probate Mittel, aber irgendwie mit bitterem Beigeschmack, denn die Kohle wird der Hacker mit Sicherheit nicht zurückzahlen.
