Die lang erwartete Fortsetzung des Ego-Shooters Homefront steht vor der Tür. Exklusiv für die Xbox One erscheint im Februar die Beta von Homefront: The Revolution.
Homefront The Revolution erscheint in Deutschland, Österreich und Schweiz am 20.05.2016. Publisher Deep Silver hat nun endlich, nachdem Homefront: The Revolution zuvor schon öfters verschoben wurde, diesen neuen Release-Termin rausgegeben. Der 2. Teil der Homefront-Reihe erscheint zeitgleich für die Xbox One, die PS4 und den PC. Es wird verschiedene Versionen für PCs auf der Basis von Windows und Linux Betriebssystemen geben.
Der Open World Shooter ist in der besetzten US-Zone Philadelpias im Jahr 2029 angesiedelt. Amerika befindet sich in seinem 2. Unabhängigkeitskrieg und die Rebellen müssen sich gegen einen übermächtigen Besatzer zur Wehr setzen. Waffencrafting, Drohnen hacken und die Kombination aus einem lautlosen Schleichangriff und frontalem Sturmangriff prägen diesen ganz eigenen Shooter. In diesem fiktionale Setting geht es darum, was wäre wenn Korea in die USA einfallen würde. Die Einwohner bauen einen Widerstand auf und rebellieren gegen die Besatzer.
Die Grafik beruht auf der CryEngine 3 und liefert beeindruckende Detailtreue. Die ersten Screenshots und Ingame-Aufnahmen zeigen ein eindrucksvolles, postindustrielles Ambiente. Insbesondere das Spiel zwischen Licht und Schatten wird eindrucksvoll in Szene gesetzt. Allerdings verzichtet Homefront: The Revolution leider auf einen Multiplayer wie beim 1. Teil. Es wird aber zusätzlich zum Singleplayer einen Co-Op Modus geben um das Spiel zusammen durchzocken zu können.
Die closed Beta wird es nur auf der Xbox One geben, die Anmeldung zu dieser findet ihr hier. Auf der Hersteller Seite wird damit geworben, dass die closed Beta bereits im Ferbruar 2016 spielbar sein wird. Leider gibt es dazu bislang kein genaueres Datum, sobald wir dazu neue Infos haben, informieren wir euch wie gewohnt.
