Metal Gear Online ist ab sofort auf dem PC verfügbar, nachdem man es vor wenigen Tagen aufgrund eines Exploits erstmal wieder sperrte.
Nachdem anscheinend die Exploits bei den Microtransactions gefixt wurden, die in der am 13. Januar stattgefundenen Beta ausgenutzt wurden, ist jetzt anscheinend das Problem behoben. Damit steht dem Launch von Metal Gear Online nichts mehr im Wege und ist ab sofort verfügbar.
Der Online Modus steckt in einem kostenlosen, circa 3,7GB großen Patch. Inhaltlich liegt der Fokus dabei eher auf taktischen Team-Operationen, bei denen ihr gemeinsam mit Freunden in Matches von acht gegen acht gegeneinander antretet. Mit drei unterschiedlichen Klassen und einigen, im Singleplayer nicht zur Verfügung stehenden, Waffen, sollt ihr damit euren eigenen Soldaten erstellen können, der eurem Spielstil entspricht. Abgerundet wird das Ganze von dem aus Battlefront und Medal of Honor Warfighter bekannten Buddy-System, dass euch den Respawn bei einem eurer Kumpels ermöglicht. Optisch ist das Ganze dem Singleplayer sehr ähnlich, der sich grafisch allerdings nicht zu verstecken braucht.

Mit von der Partie sind dabei auch einige aus dem Singleplayer bekannte Charaktere, die ihr dort antreffen werdet. Dazu zählen Ocelot oder Venom Snake.
