Es ist soweit und Vostok Games hat am heutigen Tage das lang angekündigte Update Survarium: Update 0.31 live geschickt. Nach einigen Querelen innerhalb der Community sollte das Update einige Verbesserungen bringen. Ob das auch der Fall ist, haben wir geprüft.
Viele Spieler von Survarium haben in der jüngeren Vergangenheit über einige Probleme geplagt. Der Launcher war unzuverlässig, die Granaten waren nahezu übermächtig effektiv und offenbar wurde mehr Zeit in die Entwicklung von Orden, Belohnungen und Boni verwandt, als die Engine und das Gameplay zu optimieren. Ebenso wurden die Rufe nach besseren Anticheat-Tools laut, denn mittlerweile wurde es wirklich nervig, da Cheater mit Wallhacks, Aimbots und ähnlichen Tools die echten Player an den Rand der Verzweiflung brachten.
Neben Extraboni durch das Spielen mit Freunden in einem Squad gibt es unter anderem noch vier neue Gesichter für die Charaktere. Weiter bekommen Premium-User 10% mehr EP, die Items können nicht nur mit Gold, sondern auch mit Silver sofort repariert werden und vor allem die Granaten haben nun weniger Schadenswirkung bei 8m Explosionsradius. Zudem wurden einige Änderungen am Gewicht verschiedenster Items vorgenommen und einige Masken von Helmen entfernt, die man nun extra im Shop kaufen muss. Weiter hat man einige Bugs gefixt, auf die nicht näher eingegangen wird. Die Rufe nach Dedicated Servern verhallen hingegen immer noch ungehört, obwohl diese Variante das Matchmaking bei Survarium revolutionieren und verkürzen würde. Weiter wäre das ein Schritt gegen die Hacker, da jeder Host die Kontrolle über seinen Server hätte und im Regelfall schneller reagieren könnte. Vostok hat einen Trailer zum Update veröffentlicht, der einige Änderungen im Bild beschreibt:

General:
- Added four new character faces.
Gameplay
- Added a bonus for playing with a friend in one squad: you will receive 25% more experience and reputation. Bonuses do not stack if there are two friends in the squad.
- Added a new Premium bonus. By participating in a match with one or more Premium players, you will get +10% experience, reputation and silver.
- Changed the way item repair works. Now all items can be repaired instantly for silver. Repair kits (in the players‘ inventory) have been replaced with stash maps at a ratio of 2 to 1.
- You can now rotate the camera while waiting for a match to start.
Equipment and Weapons:
- Removed the masks from UM-2 Hammer, UM-4 Zubr, Pilgrim and Marauder helmets. The masks can now be purchased as separate items in the game.
- The damage radius of RGO grenade reduced to 8 meters.
- The minimum time before the detonation of RGO has been increased to 1.5 seconds.
- The size of PMN-3 mine increased by 50%.
- The radius of the PMN-3 triggering increased by 120%.
- MON-50 now has visible laser sensors that make it easier to detect.
- Onyx artifact no longer reduces armor-piercing of bullets hitting the character (neither in passive state nor when activated).
- „Isolation“ parameter is now called „Protection from Anomalies“.
- Overall protection from anomalous damage now equals the sum of protection on all of the equipped items.
- Changed protection from anomalies on all items, skills and modifiers to match the new formula.
- „Isolation“ modification is now „Protection from Anomalies“. Bonuses of the modification changed from +2%, +4%, +6%, +8%, +10% to +1%, +2%, +3%, +4%, +5% correspondingly.
- Protection bonus of „Resistance“ skill changed from +2%, +4%, +6%, +8%, +10% to +1%, +2%, +3%, +4%, +5% correspondingly.
- Breakage of „Isolation“ items: -10%“ changed to „Anomalous protection: -5%“.
- Oxygen tanks now give full protection from anomalous damage when activated.
- Sponge artifact in passive state now grants +10% protection from all anomalies.
The Fringe Settlers
- Pilgrim container, level 10: weight reduced to 4 kg
- Token, level 7: weight increased to 3 kg. Removed „Pouches for ammo: +1“ modifier
Black Market
- Cossacks, level 1: weight reduced to 0.4 kg
- Heavy helmet, level 10: weight increased to 2.5 kg
Scavengers
- Nomad gloves, level 10: weight increased to 0.8 kg
- Chemical protection gloves, level 3: bonus to the anomaly destruction speed increased to +15%
- Saboteur jacket, level 5: weight increased to 3.5 kg
- Guerilla jacket, level 5: weight increased to 3.5 kg
- Saboteur pants, level 5: weight increased to 1.4 kg
- Guerilla pants, level 5: weight increased to 1.4 kg
The Renaissance Army
- Assault mask, level 6: armor increased to 70
- Sokol bulletproof vest, level 5: weight reduced to 4.5 kg
- Sokol-M bulletproof vest, level 5: weight reduced to 4.5 kg
Character Skills
- Added the skill „Sense of the Forest.“ Allows you to see anomalies on the map and opponents with artifacts within 35m.
- Added the skill „Neutralization“, which provides protection from anomalies, depending on the selected artifact.
- Protection bonus of „Resistance“ skill changed from +2%, +4%, +6%, +8%, +10% to +1%, +2%, +3%, +4%, +5% correspondingly.
- Character skills will be reset. You can redistribute your skill points.
User Interface
- You can now change the active profile with the mouse wheel.
- You can now zoom in and out on the minimap.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed several synchronization errors.
