Die Plattform „Good Old Games“, kurz GOG, arbeitet fortan mit Bethesda Softworks zusammen und bieten nun auf ihrem Steam-Konkurrenten alte Klassiker an.
Good Old Games ist vor allem durch den dritten Witcher-Teil bekannt geworden und führt größtenteils nur Klassiker neben dem Witcher-Franchise. Grund hierfür ist wohl, dass GOG von den Entwicklern des Univerums rund um den Hexer Geralt, nämlich CD Projekt RED, stammt. Nun kündigte Bethesda Softworks die Zusammenarbeit mit den Enwticklern beziehungsweise der Plattform an. Künftig werden also auch Klassiker wie Doom über die Plattform vertrieben werden. Um folgende Spiele handelt es sich:

Wenn ihr euch zu einem Kauf entscheidet, erhaltet ihr The Elder Scrolls: Arena und The Elder Scrolls 2: Daggerfall gratis dazu. Die Spiele sind natürlich DRM-frei, wie alle Spiele die über GOG vertrieben werden. Ob es in Zukunft noch weitere Spiele von Bethesda dort geben wird, ist bisher nicht bekannt.
